Don't know what game you were watching. Grigorenko looked terrible. sure at times he made some nice passes, but nothing aweing. Zadorov looked like the best player on the ice besides the Marakov, and ullberg. Reinhart didn't really wow me with anything, and i think he showed a lot of nerves. Lemioux was ok, but not epic. They all need some work. Zadorov and Reinhart will make the team, and get their 9 game tryout and zadorov will stick, and reinhart will be sent back

Thoroughly enjoyed the game tonight. Zads was the stand-out player IMO but props to Lemieux for hitting everything that moved. Reinhart wasn't particularly noticeable although he did show a great deal of resilience after getting knocked around. Oh - and special thanks to Girgs for nailing Zads into the boards, freeing up a puck that got stuck atop the goal light - a fine souvenir for my son!

Besides Girgs, Risto and Zadorov, who all looked dynamite:

I think Grigs looked pretty good, not great, but OK. He seemed to have an extra gear that he didn't possess last season.

I liked Baptiste and Bailey's games. Both skate like demons, hustle hard and go to the net.

Sundher is one slick mofo, with great wheels and awesome hands.

Same with Catenacci. Slick in tight spaces. Almost like a combination of Ennis and Roy. Works his a$$ off.

Lemieux is going to be a fan favorite. Lots of his jerseys will sell.

Glad to hear Murray did something positive. Felt bad for Sabrs fans after how badly he botched the Miller deal.

Grigs looked good compared to many others. Not many players actually performed well minus the players that were just invitees.

carrier surprised me. good hands, hard shot- rang one off the crossbar, skated hard. kea looked decent. ristolainen was the best player on the ice, by far. he turned the puck over on the power play for what should have been a break away, and in two strides he had the puck back.

good lord no. what did the flyers give up to get lindros? forsberg, hextall, chris simon, mike ricci, kerry huffman, steve duschesne, a first (jocelyn thibault), another first rounder that they traded to toronto, and $15,000,000- for a guy that refused to play for quebec, the team that drafted him. mcdavid and eichel are two of the most anticipated prospects in years. its absurd to think that the sabres would ever trade that pick, let alone need to add a sweetener to make it happen.

Pysyk was the best player on the ice from my vantage point and then Risto and Zegmus. As for the younger guys Compher and Baptiste were solid. Lemieux was a pest which was great to see. Built like his Dad and he will play in the league in a year or two. Of all the players on the ice I would be interested to hear who you think will eventually be a top 6 forward or top 4 d.

True, I was looking at Murray's end result. Halak and a 3rd went to Washington for Neuvirth and Klesla. I'm glad you like the deal.
